About me
After a long stint in international journalism in India, I moved to Colorado, USA in Fall 2011 to pursue a doctoral degree at University of Colorado Boulder. I will be graduating in Spring 2018 with a Ph.D. in Communication and Media Studies.
During my time at University of Colorado Boulder, I have been researching news discourse on conflict, teaching undergraduate courses on interpersonal communication, networked media, journalism and storytelling, media ethics, and created strategic communication campaigns for two United Nations programs - Nothing But Nets and United Nations Association of Boulder County.
In my free time, I hike 14ers (14,000 ft. high mountains), run on mountain trails, podcast on the mile-high life in boulder, instagram my cooking and other adventures, enjoy world cinema, reading, and campaign for malaria awareness.
